To renew a existing installation you can use a command promt and type "md1752_en_x64.exe /s" /s triggers silent install so it doesn't ask to retype keys. Only works for active installations with working keys. If you just run the install normally you'll need new keys. If you allready installed Mdaemon on your PC that doesn't work anymore. Install it on a new PC, request keys and abort that installation. Use the key on your own server.. You could use a virtual machine too, prepare the VM so it only needs a fresh install to work properly and install Mdaemon. When the trail is over, restart your VM so it's a fresh install again and install Mdaemon again with a new trail key.
Thanks for the info but none of these suggestions work if you wish to update an existing install that was installed with trial keys and cracked, if you use ActiveSync. At least they did not work for me. Yes I was able to get new trial keys by partially installing on a VM and I was able to use those keys to perform an update on the other machine but activation for ActiveSync still fails. You cannot get a trial key for ActiveSync via email. In order to activate ActiveSync, the machine you are updating has to pull the trial key from the Alt-N server, directly. If the trial keys you used to perform the original install have expired, ActiveSync fails to activate even though you were able to update MDameon with the new trial keys you obtained from the VM installation. Does not work with trial keys Does not work for ActiveSync Does not work for ActiveSync
Erm, once installed (using trial keys or whatever) - with the cracked files in place, proper license.xml file and services.altn.com blocked - the /s switch works just fine for upgrades in that case... even with ActiveSync or whatever. You simply are doing something wrong, such as not updating the license.xml with new version numbers/release dates before running the new version, or not blocking the services.altn.com access.
Well... I'm doing everything that you mentioned so I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I'm not the only one that encountered the same issue: http://www.xenforo.cc/threads/54305/page-64#post-292108 Maybe we both missed the same step or did something out of order but I haven't the slightest idea what that could be
If you're running Worldclient and remote admin through IIS you have to shut down IIS first or else some files won't be updated because they are in use. Maybe that's it? Because that does effect active sync and not updating correctly (had that problem in the past too, shutting down IIS and re-installing Mdaemon fixed that for me.)
As it is a temporary mdaemon install on a temporary windows install (that you will destroy asap) to get fresh trial keys, you don't need to replace files, blocking anything in the windows hosts file or modify the license file. You need a new temporary email to get you trial keys: https://10minutemail.net/ willfit your needs... Run the the Mdaemon installer Run the the SecurityPlus installer Run the the OutlookConnector installer Then you will be able get your trial ActiveSync key on your temporary install, like you did in your picture by clicking the Request Trial Key button in the Mobile Device Management. Then go to Help menu -> Register your Alt-N Product... -> Click the ActiveSync tab and you will see your ActiveSync registration key. This is your new fresh trial key for ActiveSync. Copy it or write ip somewhere with your other 3 fresh new trial keys. Then use it on your running cracked setup that you want to upgrade with the new version of Mdaemon. To upgrade your running cracked mdaemon setup : Stop all Mdaemon and SecurityPlus services and process Unblock any altn.com in your windows hosts file. Run the 3 installers (mdaemon, securityplus, outlook connector) Every time use your fresh new trial key. After installing Outlook connector go to the Help menu -> Register your Alt-N Product... -> Click the ActiveSync tab Write or paste your fresh new ActiveSync registration key and click Apply. Stop all Mdaemon and SecurityPlus services and process, replace the files. Restart Mdaemon. Stop all Mdaemon and SecurityPlus services and process. Block services.altn.com Restart Mdaemon. Stop all Mdaemon and SecurityPlus services and process. Modify license.xml file (keep your new fresh trial key in it, just modify <Active>1</Active> <Trial>0</Trial> <StartDate>2018-01-12</StartDate> <EndDate>2023-01-11</EndDate> <Deactivate>2023-01-11</Deactivate> In the 4 product part of the license.xml Restart Mdaemon. And you are done. Hope this will help you.
Thanks, everyone! This is the piece of the puzzle that I was missing. I didn't realize you could copy/paste the new ActiveSync key

Anyone using SecurityPlus 5.1.0 and 5.5.0 must update the ClamAV exes and dll. There is a security bug in any ClamAV version lower than 0.99.3 http://blog.clamav.net/2018/01/clamav-0993-has-been-released.html This crash then ClamAV scanner and then jam the queues in Mdaemon, about all incoming mail will be stopped or mark as bad. You must replace the files in MDaemon\SecurityPlus\ClamAVPlugin\ with the files inside the zip joined with this post. But this will create a problem a trouble in the ClamAV Plugin Information: It will display: Signature date: N/A Signature Version -1 But if you click on the Plug-ins tab directly in the main Mdeamon window you will see something like this: Tue 2018-02-06 01:15:17.807: ClamAV update process started at Tue Feb 06 01:15:17 2018 Tue 2018-02-06 01:15:17.825: main.cvd is up to date (version: 58, sigs: 4566249, f-level: 60, builder: sigmgr) Tue 2018-02-06 01:15:17.825: daily.cvd is up to date (version: 24289, sigs: 1845709, f-level: 63, builder: neo) Tue 2018-02-06 01:15:17.825: bytecode.cvd is up to date (version: 319, sigs: 75, f-level: 63, builder: neo) Tue 2018-02-06 01:15:17.828: ---------- So ClamAV is still updated. This ClamAV trouble will probably will be update and fix in the next SecurityPlus release...
